BMW Officially Releases Images of i8 Roadster Ahead of Launch in 2018
German car maker BMW has officially released the images of generation next i8 Roadster ahead of its launch in 2018. The first generation of this hybrid sports car was launched three years back in 2014 and it would be for the first time that it will undergo the cosmetic updates. From the images leaked in cyber world the i8 receives subtle changes on the exterior following along with short roof. However, one thing which is quite sure from the pictures is that the car maker has developed this car by keeping the future needs of car enthusiasts in concern. According to sources of the company it will make use of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) for developing this sports car.

Under the hood, BMW i8 Roadster will be empowered with 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine and an electronic motor that will transit power to front axle. It is believed that in its next generation the i8 Roadster will be capable of boosting more power up-to 400 as compared to its erstwhile power of 362 horses. Sources of company have claimed that it will offer the fuel efficient figure of 50 kmpl and will use 15.4 kWh energy for covering the distance of about 100 kilometers.

Talking about the roof it will be a folded electronically despite of foldable hard-top. It is believed apart from this change the i8 Roadster will also embellish some contemporary changes in form of revised headlamp cluster and few more.
