Mechanically, the 2021 Swift is believed to receive the existing 1.2-liter Dualjet petrol engine boosting the power of 89 bhp and the torque of 118Nm. In Japan, it will also receive the hybrid version empowered with 0.3 kWh battery boosting an additional power of 10kW and 30 Nm torque.  The JDM version of Swift RS will be offered with a 1-0-liter Boosterjet turbo petrol engine that will boost the power of 101 bhp and the torque of 150Nm. The Indian version of Swift will be upgraded with the Dualjet engine, however, as far as the Boosterjet engine is concerned it is believed that the chances of its launch in India are very less as the same engine has been discontinued from Baleno RS in India.
