BS-VI Mahindra Alturas G4 Bookings Commenced, Updated On Website

The domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra has updated its official website with the new BS6 compliant Alturas G4 and has also initiated its bookings and will start the deliveries to the prospective buyers after lockdown. The SUV will be launched in two variant Alturas G4x2 AT and Alturas G4 4x4 AT and priced Rs. 28.69 lakh and Rs. 31.60 lakh respectively. Both the prices are ex-showroom.

Mechanically, it will receive the existing 2.2-liter diesel engine upgraded according to BS6 norms, boosting the same power of 178 bhp and the torque of 420Nm. The transmission duties are performed by a seven-speed automatic torque convertor transmission system, outsourced from Mercedes-Benz. Aesthetically, the BS6 version of Alturas G4 is identical to the existing version carrying the HID headlamps with Dual Function DRLs, the Mahindra logo studded front grille, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a few more on the exterior front. Inside the cabin also it continues the same features including well-developed dashboard, dual-tone interiors with matching tan and black leather upholstery, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-end variant also receives a seven-inch color TFT screen integrated with memory features for driver’s seat and ORVMs, electric tailgate, and many more.
 
On the safety front, the 4x2 variant is offered dual airbags while the 4x4 variant with nine airbags. Apart from this, the other list of standard safety features consists of Electronic Stability Programme, Hill Decent Control, Hill Start Assist system, electronic parking brakes, ISOFIX seats for children, rear defoggers, seatbelt warning and a few more.
