Tata cars to get costlier

After various leading car manufacturers have already hiked the prices of their entire range as an impact of increasing cost of inputs, domestic car maker Tata Motors is also decided to hike the prices of its entire portfolio during this festive season. In his address, Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said that they are assessing the circumstances and will soon increase of prices of vehicles. Mr. Pareek also said that recently other major car makers have also hiked the prices of their cars due to increasing cost of raw materials. He also said that company has not hiked the prices of their cars from long time and therefore it has become imperative for company to meet the cost of inputs and hike the prices. 
 
It would be interested to know that from quite some time home grown car maker is endeavoring to strengthen its weakening position in Indian car market and is offering powerful and high performing vehicles enriched with contemporary features to compete strongly with its contenders. This can be witnessed from its recent launch Tiago hatchback which has succeeded in satisfying the needs of both company and car enthusiasts in India. Moreover, to enjoy the benefits of upcoming festive season company is planning to launch three new vehicles soon in India. The price of Tata’s entire portfolio varies Rs. 2.15 lakh to Rs. 16.3 lakh (ex-showroom price).
 
Talking about the three upcoming products of company during festive season, Tata has already confirmed the launch of Hexa MPV during the month of November which will be further followed by launch of Tiago AMT and sedan Kite 5. Going through the encouraging response from Indian buyers towards Tiago manual gear transmission system, it is speculated that its AMT version will further help company in enhancing the sales of Tiago hatchback. With this, it is also anticipated that Kite 5 sedan also has potential to grab the attention of Indian buyers because of its similarity to Tiago hatchback.
