Car launches this Diwali – more surprises than ever underway

Car industry experts predict that this year there will be raining cars and bikes this November and the early showers will start in September. Including the most awaited Mahindra Xylo Mini, new Maruti 800 and the Jaguar XJL, there will be almost 30 new cars that will see the daylight starting September this year. Most of the car launches this year will be around Diwali which is on November 13 this year. All car makers have lined up some or the other offering in order to prepare themselves for the big show. The near Diwali Navratras and Dhanteras are believed to be the most auspicious days as per the Hindu mythology and most of the car buying happens at this time. The trend seems to have already set in with the Hyundai Elantra launch today.

Among the important cars launches are hatchbacks, sedan, SUVs, compact SUVs, compact sedans and a lot of luxury and sports cars as well. Most significant launches will be the mass segment cars and these include new Maruti 800, Mahindra Xylo Mini which are in fact the most awaited launches of this year. Meanwhile reports are also abuzz that Mahindra could launch Mahindra Xylo based hatchback as well in order to ensure its presence in the most happening segment that it has not touched yet. Among all the car makers, Mahindra is expected to steal this Diwali show as it has laid five car launches this year.

Other car makers such as Chevrolet, Tata, Ford and Volkswagen have also planned to add celebration to this Diwali. Where Chevrolet will be launching the Chevrolet Sail hatchback and Sail sedan, Volkswagen could time the Volkswagen Up launch at that time. Meanwhile, Tata could be the Tata Manza based compact sedan and Ford will be launching the Ford Ecosport at that time. So on and so forth, there will some anticipated cars coming this Diwali while there will be a lot of pleasant surprises this festive season as well.
