Cars Ready To Debut During The Month Of January 2018
After enjoying substantial success in 2018, the Indian car market is all set to witness the launch of new cars in 2019, that were placed at the headline of almost all car portals throughout the year. Although, the year has just begun and the clear picture about the upcoming cars during the year will be disclosed in next two-three months, but still there are some highly awaited cars that are slated for launch in the month of January 2019 and speculated to set new benchmarks in their respective segments.
Let us have a glimpse of the cars that would be launched this month.
Nissan Kicks: The premium compact SUV from the Japanese car maker Nissan Motors is one of the highly awaited vehicles of the year, that will finally make its entry in the Indian car market during this year. The bookings have been already commenced by the carmaker. The compact SUV is developed on the same platform on which Duster and Capture vehicles are developed by the French carmaker Renault. Under the hood, Kicks would be offered with the options of 1.6 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines. The petrol variant will be mated with five-speed manual gear transmission system, while the diesel with six-speed manual transmission system. It is believed to be offered with the price-tag between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be a tough contender to Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta.

Toyota Camry: Along with Nissan, one more Japanese car maker Toyota Motors is also going to launch the generation next Camry sedan in the Indian car market on January 18, 2019. The new Camry will be offered with 208 bhp petrol engine supported by 118 bhp electric motor. The new Camry will be the new initiative by the Japanese auto giant in the hybrid segment and carries most of its cues from Lexus ES 300h. It is believed to priced in the range from Rs. 39 lakh to Rs. 41 lakh.

BMW X7: With an objective to make its strong presence in the SUV segment, the German car maker BMW is going to launch its premium SUV X7 in the Indian car market with speculated price tag of Rs. 1.6 Crore. The SUV made its first public appearance two months back during the LA Auto Show 2018 and is a high-performance vehicle by the German auto giant. Mechanically, it will be empowered with 3.0 inline six-cylinder diesel engine, that will boost the power of 400 hp followed by the 760Nm torque. The engine duty will be performed by eight-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will be embellished with some remarkable features like four-zone climate control, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, park assistant system with reverse camera, three-piece glass sunroof, reclining function for all three rows and many more.

Tata Harrier: Developed by the domestic carmaker Tata Motors, Harrier is also one of the highly awaited vehicles that will be making its debut during the second week of January 2019. Developed on the platform used for developing Land Rover Discovery Sport, the Harrier is expected to priced in the range of Rs. 14 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh and will compete against Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. It will be equipped with 2.0 litre diesel engine that boost the power of 140 bhp and the torque of 350Nm. The transmission duties would be performed by six-speed manual gear transmission system.

Besides the above-mentioned vehicles, it is believed that few more vehicles would also make their entry in the Indian car market, the names of which will be disclosed by the manufacturers in coming days.
