Cars With Tata Badge To Get Costlier From January 2019

According to recent reports received from the domestic carmaker Tata Motors, it is going to hike the prices of entire passenger vehicles up to Rs. 40,000 from January 1, 2019. The reason of hiking the prices has been taken to cut the increasing cost of raw material and regular hike in the fuel prices. The brigade of passenger vehicles from the homegrown car maker comprises of the affordable hatchback Nano to premium SUV Hexa. The car maker has SUV Harrier in the pipeline for launch in January 2019.

It would be interesting to know that Tata Motors is not the alone car manufacturing company within the country that is going to hike the prices of its vehicles from next year.  Prior to this, the Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited, BMW India, Isuzu India and Toyota Kirloskar India have also announced to hike the prices of their vehicles from January 2019, due to the increasing cost of fuel and raw materials.
 
Commenting about the reason of hike in prices, Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business, Tata Motors, said, "The changing market conditions, rising input costs and various external economic factors have compelled us to consider this price increase,". Moving ahead, he also added that “Tata Motors is optimistic on maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming year on the back of our robust portfolio".
