Check out Maruti Suzuki Alto Review 2019
Maruti Suzuki Alto made come back years ago in 2012 by the name of ‘Alto800’ in its 800cc avatar. The car was given a few mild updates over years and now it is not just small tweaks here and there. It has got a major upgrade with the engine having been made BS-VI-compliant and body shell enhanced to comply with latest crash-test norms – oh, and this Alto has also dropped the ‘800’ from its name.
Exteriors: The car exteriors includes petal-shaped headlamps, body panels, doors, boot lids and the rear bumper. The attraction is its new front bumper which gets a large air dam, replete with honeycomb-style plastic mesh. There are provisions for fog lamps that can be added as paid accessories. Also, its front grille is new and now sports a black surround. Its outside mirrors too are worth a glance.
Safety Features: The all-new Alto gets a standard driver's airbag in all variants including ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, a driver and front-passenger seat-belt reminder as well as a speed alert system. All these are now mandatory safety requirements to be maintained in every new generation vehicle. The base Std and mid-spec LXi trims get passenger airbags as an option, while dual airbags are standard on the top-spec VXi trim.
Inner view of car: Interiors of this new gen Maruti Suzuki Alto have gone through major change. From dashboard to other elements, Alto borrowed a few elements from Alto K10. Maruti Suzuki Alto now comes with dual tone black beige dashboard, steering wheel and instrument cluster that are carried over from the pre-facelift 2016 version. Its seats and door pads get new dual-tone black and cream fabric.
2019 Maruti Alto price is between Rs 25,000-38,000 pricier than the outgoing version. Although the added outlay gets you a safety kit like ABS, airbags and rear parking sensors. This is somehow more reassuring to know the car is compliant with latest crash test norms.
