Corona Pandemic Delays The Launch of 2020 Hyundai Tucson and Verna

With the extension of coronavirus within the country, the launch of new cars is going to delay. According to sources Hyundai India which was all ready to launch the facelift version of Verna on March 26, 2020, and Tucson during the middle of April this year will have to delay the launch of both these models. The Indian alliance of Korean carmaker had already commenced the bookings of Verna earlier this month. Both the vehicles are reported to be equipped with the new BS-VI compliant engine configuration.
 
To begin with Verna, it will be offered with three engine options of 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine boosting the power of 113 bhp and the torque of 144Nm, while the 1.0-liter GDI turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 118 bhp and the torque of 172Nm. The transmission duties in both the variants will be mated with a six-speed manual and an iVT automatic transmission system in the former and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system in the latter. The diesel variant will be empowered with a 1.5-liter, 4 cylinder engine that generates the power of 113 bhp and torque of 250Nm. This variant will be mated with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission system.

Speaking about 2020 Hyundai Tucson, it will be offered with a 2.0-liter diesel and 2.0-liter petrol engine. The former trim generates the power of 182 bhp, while the latter delivers the power of 150 bhp. The transmission duties will include the option of both a six-speed automatic and an eight-speed automatic transmission system. It will be offered with three driving modes consisting of Eco, Comfort, and Sport.
 
Apart from BS-VI compliant engine, there will subtle cosmetic changes in both the vehicles. The notable feature offered in both the vehicles will consist of Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity technology that supports connectivity with different features including safety, alert, security, and artificial intelligence.
