Cricketer Rishabh Pant Meets Severe Accident
Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant met a road accident on Friday, December 30, 2022, early morning while returning to his home town Roorkee from Delhi. According to reports, his car hit the divider and immediately caught fire after the accident. Pant was immediately rushed into a hospital in Dehradun and is reported out of danger.
In the words of a police officer involved in the investigation, Pant was driving the car himself at the time of the accident. Pant told the officer that he fell asleep while driving and got his car collided with the divider. Commenting on the accident, one of the eyewitnesses told that the luxury car collided badly with a divider and caught the fire. The remainings of the car are hardly recognizable and are enough to tell the whole story. It is reported that Pant broke the window of the car for coming out. He had suffered injuries on his head, back and feet.
Pant is undergoing treatment at Max Hospital in Dehradun and his condition is stable. He has not suffered any fractures and has had two severe cuts. One is above the left and a ligament tear on his knee. However, unfortunately, he has severe injuries on his back, which might keep him away from playing almost for a year. He will have to undergo either skin grafting or plastic surgery for the treatment of his back injuries. Staying away from cricket for a year means, he won’t be a part of the squad to participate in the world cup scheduled to be held in India next year.
