Curtains will raise soon! Tesla Model Y debut on 14th March

American car maker Tesla is soon raising the curtains this same year on March 14, 2019. The development was confirmed earlier in a series of tweets by founder Elon Musk. He said that the electronic crossover is all set to make its    debut at the company's LA Design Studio quite sooner on March 14th this year. This Tesla Model Y will be the fifth offering to come from the company since its foundation day. With its dates, the founder did not revealed other details about this car. Although Musk has made a confirmation that the Model Y SUV will be 10% bigger than the company’s last Model 3 and will further be costing more as well.

The Tesla Model Y was earlier announced in 2015 and after a long wait, the company just revealed a little things about this car including its name and small teasers that shows black and white silhouette of the coming offerings. The Model Y is expected to share almost 75% of its components with the Model 3. The battery pack of this eye-catching vehicle will be more or less the same as the Model 3 but Model Y is expected to have a slightly smaller range in comparison.

More specs and details will be revealed on the event day and after the event is gone right, the vehicle will be made available for the test drives. The series production of the same Model will be starting sooner in the coming year at Tesla’s Gigfactory outside Reno in Nevada in the USA. Musk's announcement for the Model Y comes just days after Tesla rolled out the $35,000 base variant of the Model 3. The company also dropped software updates for the Model 3 and Model S with an improvement in the top speed of the car to 261 kmph.  
 

Interior


The Tesla superchargers have a maximum rate of 145kW and its cars can accept upto 120kW. The Tesla is expected to be a five-seater offering while the addition of a third row cannot be ruled out. The cost is expected to start over $40,000 mark i.e. around INR 28.35 lakh. This cost is just only for the entry-level version and more expensive variants are supposed to be made available first as same as the case was with the Model 3.

Tesla is yet to make its foray in India,so it will take a while before we see the Model Y on Indian roads.
