Datsun to bring Go-Cross by end of this year

According to recent industry reports Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan is working on launching its first ever crossover Go-Cross in Indian car market by the end of this year. Developed on the same platform as used in Go hatchback and Go+ MPV, the crossover was showcased by car maker during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 held in the month of February. The upcoming crossover would be fourth product by Japanese car maker in Indian car market after launch G0, G0+. And upcoming Redi-Go expected to launch soon in India. It is reported that small car Redi-Go is going under test drives and is speculated to make its debut by the end of May 2016.

The Go-Crossover is reported to be launched in petrol trim that will be energised with 1.2 litre three cylinder DOHC 12 valve engine which is similar to engine configuration as introduced in Go and Go+ MPV. The engine churns power of 64 bhp at 5000 rpm and torque of 140Nm at 4000 rpm. The vehicle will be offered with sitting option of five seater and seven seater.

It is speculated that Go-Cross will be carry less muscular rear profile as compared to its predecessors and will bestow features like roof rails, roof mounted spoiler, enlarged alloy wheels, and high ground clearance followed by skid plates.
