Details of India Bound Skoda Karoq Surface Online
The Karoq SUV from Czech carmaker Skoda which was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2020 and slated for launch in April 2020 will now make its debut in the Indian car market after the situation turns normal through a digital launch event. However, amid the existing situation, the carmaker is working on dispatching the vehicle to the dealers and soon to the customers after the lockdown is lifted. The buyers can book the SUV by paying the token amount of Rs. 50,000.
While the official launch date of Skoda Karoq has not been revealed by the company it has revealed the major features that would be offered in the SUV to retain its craze among the car aspirants. According to company sources, it will be developed on the MQB platform and powered with BS6 compliant 1.5-liter, four-cylinder TSI petrol engine boosting the power of 148 bhp @6,000 rpm and the torque of 250Nm at 1,500 rpm, the transmission duties will be performed by seven-speed DSG gearbox. It will be able to accelerate the top speed of 202 kmph and touch the mark of 100 kmph from standstill position within nine seconds.
Speaking about the features it will be equipped with LED headlamps and taillamps, virtual cockpit, all leather upholstery, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink connectivity, an eighteen-inch alloy wheels, nine-airbags, tyre pressure monitory system, dual-zone climate control, ABS+EBD+ESC and many more. In India, it will be launched through a completely built unit and will compete with Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, and Volkswagen T-Roc.
