With Japanese carmaker ready to launch its highly awaited compact SUV Kicks in the Indian car market on January 22, 2019, the details of the vehicles have been leaked in the cyber world. According to the information leaked in the brochure, the compact SUV will be launched in overall four trims namely XL, XV, XV Pre and XV Pre (O) in both the petrol and diesel variants. As far as the integration of features is concerned the top end XV Pre (O) is reported to be customized with some high defined features, whereas the base trim XL is reported to be equipped the features like LED DRLs, power windows and power adjustable wing mirrors with turn indicators mounted on them, height adjustable driver seat, rear air conditioner vents, automatic climate control, inbuilt audio system with Bluetooth connectivity as standard features.

 

 

Under the hood, the Kicks would be offered with 1.5 litre petrol engine that is capable of boosting the power of 104 bhp and the torque of 145Nm. The transmission duties would be performed by five-speed manual gearbox system. On the other side, the diesel variant will be empowered with 1.5 litre diesel engine that will generate the power of 108 bhp and the torque of 248Nm. The transmission duties in the diesel variant will be performed by a six-speed manual gearbox. After launch in the Indian car market, the Kicks will compete against Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and others in the segment.

 

Talking about the features offered in the top end variant the list will include eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360 degree camera view, which is the first in the segment. On the exterior front, apart from regular 12 color options, the top end variant will be offered with an option of white with black roof, red with black roof, white with orange roof and gray with an orange roof.
