Diesel cars now available on discounts up to Rs 50K

Car makers seem to be in a hurry to encash the project car buying this Diwali. Some car makers such as Tata Motors and Volkswagen among others are offerings their cars on a discounted price already. With this Tata Indica, Volkswagen Polo, Mahindra Verito, Maruti SX4, Maruti Ritz and Ford Figo diesel models are offered at discounted prices. It is believed that the steep slack in sales has also prompted car makers to float heavy discounts on their cars so that they can combat the dwindling sales. So what is that is keeping the car buyer from car buying? There seems to be a combination of keys to unlock this secret. The discounts on these cars are up to Rs 50,000.

As per sources information, the even the diesel model of these cars are offered at a much lesser price than before. All credit goes to the slow demand that has made the car makers offer what they have never offered or wished to do. Diesel cars in India are already priced higher than petrol models and if the diesel cars are offered at low price, it seems to be the perfect time to buy a car. One such car enthusiast Mr. Ramavtar Singh who wished to drive home all new ford Figo this Diwali is thinking to prepone his buying and buy the car in some days. Similar sentiments were expressed by Mr. Shiv Prasad, who is an engineer and have selected to buy new Maruti Ritz but its price desisted him. Now he is also willing to get hold of the car soon.

In a report, Michael Boneham, Ford Motor India president & managing director has expressed that there is a price discount on diesel models as diesel cars are in some demand as compared to petrol models and secondly it is aimed to boost sales that has done down due to slow demand. In addition to this instant deliveries have also been promised on the above mentioned models contrary to other popular cars such as Maruti Swift, Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo CS and other that have almost six months waiting period.
