Duster boosts Renault India May sales 13 fold
Renault Duster, one of the most popular and hot seller compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) in India by French auto major Renault, has boosted the company's sales by 13 fold in May 2013. The company has recently announced the sales figures for the month of May this year with an increase of 13 fold. It sold a total of 6,013 units last month this year as compared to 438 units in the same of month previous year.

Sales of the Renault Duster in May 2013 stood at 5,146 units while the 680 units of the Renault Scala sedan were sold. Last month, the company sold 410 units of Renault Pulse premium hatchback. The sales of company's premium sedan Renault Fluence stood at 71 units. Renault India sold the 3 units of Renault Koleos luxury SUV in India during the month of May 2013.

At present, the French auto giant is offering five Renault car models India which are being produced at its production plant in Oragadam, Chennai which has production capacity of 4 lakh units per annum. Across the country, Renault India has a total of 100 showrooms. And now, the overwhelming company aiming to double the sales this year. With it, the numbers of showrooms across the country will also be enhanced by near future. Apart from this, some of new Renault car models are also in the offing along with a facelifted version of hit SUV-Duster.
