The Pune-based start-up Vayve Mobility showcased the country’s first solar-powered electric car “Eva” during the Indian Auto Expo 2023, held earlier this year. According to recent updates, the company is now readying to launch the car by the end of this year. It is reported that the car will be powered by solar energy and capable to run up to 250 kilometres on a single charge. It will be powered by a 14 kWh battery and charged by solar panels or through a standard electric outlet. The car is suitable for urban areas and can easily accommodate two adults and a child. With increasing traffic and parking problems in cities this small and smart car is the best option to cope with them.

 

 

Specifications: The car is equipped with a liquid-cooled PMSM motor that generates 6kW of power from its solar panels. It also features a 14 kWh battery pack that can be fully charged in just 45 minutes via rapid charging on CCS2, or four hours using a standard socket. The car is constructed with a Monocoque chassis, ensuring structural integrity and safety. Additionally, the car is equipped with a driver's airbag and an IP-68-certified powertrain, further enhancing safety measures. With a single charge, the car can cover a distance of up to 250km.
