Facelift Datsun Go And Go+ To Go For Sale In India During This Year

Datsun India, the Indian partner of Japanese car maker is going to launch the facelift editions of Go and Go+ in the Indian car market during the later months of this year. It is speculated that the car maker might launch theseupgraded versions sometimes during the month of September 2018. The facelift versions are already on sale in Indonesian car market.

The subsidiary of Nissan Motors, Datsun, made its debut in the Indian car market back in 2014 and launched Go hatchback and Go+ MPV simultaneously during the same year. Both the vehicles are developed on Nissan’s V platform and manufactured at company’s production unit located at Chennai. Industry experts believe that the facelift versions of the both these models will overcome the drawbacks that were left in their first generation.

Visually both the vehicles will continue with same outlook without any changes. On the exterior front they will receive upgraded front grille, newly developed headlamps, new front bumper and LED DRLs. Besides, these updates it is also believed that they will also receive some additional upgrades in the form of new ORVMs with turn indicators, new LED taillamps and alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin both of them will receive new dashboard, new upholstery followed by bunch of safety and comfortable features. It is speculated that the car maker might also introduce features like touchscreen infotainment system in the top end trims. Other noticeable upgrades will include power windows, power steering, USB port and mobile docking system.

Mechanically, the vehicles will continued to be offered with ongoing engine configuration of 1.2 litre three cylinder petrol engine boosting the power of 78 bhp and the torque of 104Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by five speed manual gearbox, and might receive CVT automatic transmission system in the top end variants.
