Facelift Fiat Punto spotted again on Pune roads
As reported earlier Fiat India, the Indian arm of Italian car maker Fiat Motors is testing the facelift Punto on Pune roads. The spies have again spotted the hatchback going under test drives on Pune roads, although this time also the hatchback was camouflaged but still they have succeeded in capturing getting more clues about the features offered in facelift Punto. It is expected that company will launch the facelift by the end of this year and will carry most of its exterior features from its sibling Crossover Avventura while the interiors have been copied from recently launched Fiat Linea. It is expected that the facelift Punto will be offered in both petrol and diesel disguises, with petrol variant equipped with 1.2 litre petrol engine churning the power of 67 bhp and torque of 96 Nm, while the diesel variant will be empowered with 1.3 litre engine developing the power of 75 bhp and torque of 197 Nm. Both variants are expected to be offered with five speed manual gearbox.
According to reports received from spies the exteriors of facelift Punto resembles with Avventrua crossover which means that the front fascia of facelift Punto will also carry aerodynamic style with front bonnet sloping downwards, swept back headlights. Reports reveal that the facelift Punto is already being sold in many of the European countries and carry various additional features which are not offered in the exteriors of existing Punto. Moving towards the interiors it is expected to carry the features as offered in the interiors of recently launched facelift Linea. This means facelift Punto will carry revamped dashboard, new instrument panel, various utility features and spacious cabin.
Apart from this the facelift Punto will also carry few standard features which include automatic headlamps, power windows both front and rear, rear defogger, rain sensing wipers, music system, remote keyless entry, remote tail gate opening etc. Besides this the top end variant in diesel version will also carry leather covered gear knob shift and steering wheel, cruise control, climate control, 16 inch alloy wheels etc.
