Fiat 500 Abarth to debut next month
With Fiat Avventura due on 20th of this month, Fiat India the Indian alliance of Italian car maker is going to launch the Abarth hatchback in Indian car market sometimes during next month. After launching facelift versions of Linea and Punto during this year, Abarth would be fourth launch of this year by car maker after launching Avventura during this month.
The upcoming new hatchback from Italian car maker would be a entry level hatchback in segment of luxurious hatchbacks running in Indian car market and therefore it is expected to be priced with competitive price tag. The hatchback would be launched in petrol version which would be empowered with 1.4 litre MultiAir, turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 135bhp. It is also speculated that car maker may also offer one more variant named as Essess which would generate the power of 161 bhp. After launch the hatchback would compete with Volvo 40 Cross Country, Mercedes Benz A Class and BMW 1 series hatchbacks.
As far as features adorned in upcoming hatchback are concerned although nothing has been much revealed so far but it is expected to sport features like dual exhaust system, ABS+EBD, projector headlamps, seven airbags and electronic stability control system. With launch of Abarth in Indian car market it would be interested to see Italian car maker launching four products in a row during the same year after a long time. The new products are expected to strengthen the companies weakening position in Indian car market.
