Fiat Avventura caught for the first time by spies

Fiat India the Indian arm of Italian car maker Fiat had unveiled the Avventura concept during Indian Auto Expo 2014 held last month. Now with preparations going for launching the car by end of this year it is reported that car has been witnessed going under test drive for first time on Pune roads. The car was strictly covered and therefore it is expected that it might carry various upgrades from the model showcased during the auto expo 2014.
 
The car will be launched in both petrol and diesel disguises with petrol variant equipped with 1.4 litre petrol engine and diesel with 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine which are same as offered in Fiat Punto. The petrol variant will generate the power of 89 bhp and torque of 115 Nm, while the diesel variant will generate the power of 75 bhp and torque of 197 Nm.
 
Talking about the architecture of Avventura it would be interested to know that it has been designed on Punto’s platform as spies were able to catch few of its features at the exteriors which reveal that its hatchback resembles from Punto, however it will carry more ground clearance than compared to Punto followed by 16 inch alloy wheels. After launch Avventura will compete against Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
