Fiat Motors, striving hard to rev up falling sales in India.

The Italian Auto Giant Ford motors have decided to re-plan its production and distribution strategies to keep up the falling sales.

Recently, a visit by the top officials was made to its Indian arm to help them raise the product standards and rebuild the brand equity of Fiat.

The company is also planning to launch their hatchback, Fiat Grande Punto and Sedan, Fiat Linea with a new and face-lifts to improve their sales.

These two cars have been a part of company’s portfolio for some time now, but they have yet been unable to make a mark in the Indian market.

Thus, equipped with fresh and innovative designs, the company hopes that these cars would be able to create a stir in the market and help in increasing their sales.

Also, a new plan may be made on the dealership front where presently the cars are sold at the Tata Motors outlets, but apart from that, the Fiat Motors are planning to open their separate outlets to ensure that the brand gets its own identity and acceptance among the buyers.

Though, the company is not looking at cutting the deal with Tata Motors and Fiat cars will still be sold at Tata outlets until a new decision is made.

Some of the popular hatchback models in the Indian auto market are Ford Figo, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo. Apart from these popular models, cars going to hit the Indian roads this year are Toyota Etios Liva, Maruti Cervo and New Ford Fiesta.
