Fiat Panda X, a strong contender for EcoSport!
Since the time Ford EcoSport has been introduced in the global car market, it has been appreciated well. But at the same time, the competition is increasing for it day by day. The recent competitor of Ford EcoSport is Fiat Panda X. This one is the full-fledged SUV that will take on EcoSport and Peugeot 2008. There is no confirmation on this, as to when is the launch or even when will the production begin. But one thing is confirmed that EcoSport might get another competitor very soon. Also Fiat is working on a car called Fiat Punto Adventure, which is an off-roader version of Fiat Grande Punto hatchback. This will not be in competition with any SUV, but would be a fight for Skoda Fabia Scout.
Right now, Ford EcoSport hasn’t been launched in India. Apparently, the SUV crossover will arrive here in March 2013. Way before its arrival, competition is already getting stronger in the name of Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto. Therefore, if Fiat PandaX is preparing to give a neck to neck fight to EcoSport, it is not at all surprising. Ford EcoSport price tag is expected to be around Rs. 9 lakh and will be launched in petrol variant.
Besides Panda X, right now Fiat India is working on brining Jeep brand to India. The company is putting in every bit of effort in launching the Jeep car brand in the Indian car bazaar. Via Fiat, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler will hit the Indian roads this year. The introduction of these will definitely help the firm in establishing itself even more. The company has kept an aim to sell about 25000 units this year. Hopefully, with Panda X, Jeep and more, Fiat India makes its position much stronger in the country.
