Fiat Punto Abarth to debut in October 2015
After successful launch of Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione in Indian car market last month, Italian car maker Fiat is all set to bring its actual version in Indian car market Punto Abarth, sometimes during the month of October this year. Reported to be manufactured at company’s production at Ranjangaon, it is expected to be offered with price tag below Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

The upcoming hatchback would be empowered with 1.4 litre T-Jet petrol engine taken from sibling Linea. However as compared to power generation figures this engine in Abarth will generate the power of 145 bhp and torque of 200 Nm. This engine would be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. The car maker has already commenced the bookings of hatchback at the down payment of Rs. 20,000. Once launched in India it will compete against Volkswagen Polo GTI.

On the exterior front it will receive some eye catching upgrades including sportier body decals, newly developed Scorpion looking alloy wheels and of-course Abarth badge at bonnet. Inside the cabin you will find features like dual red and yellow colored stitching, Abarth logo at different places. It will also embellish ground clearance of 20mm. The front suspension system would be equipped with disc brakes while the rear with drum brakes.
