Fiat Punto Sport put to test – is on GQ Expedition Challenge
The most powerful hatchback in India – Fiat Punto Sport is soon going to register its name in the Limca Book of Records by covering a distance of 6041 kms in less than 75 hours. If all goes well, the 90 hp power Fiat hatch will be able to travel this distance in record time. And it would be quite similar to its brand that has made a comeback in very less time. After a long spell of being with only two cars that consisted a sedan – Fiat Linea and another small car Fiat Punto, the brand overall remained silent during its early phases. But as soon as it has parted itself from Tata from distribution, it has opened up its own showrooms and has recently launched the Punto Sport most power diesel hatchback in India.

Captain Prabhakar AVR will be behind the wheels with another experienced drive Shiva Kalyan S as Navigator. Both are experienced drivers and have driven cars for endurance tests to over 23 hours nonstop. Where Prabhakar has driven cars and bikes nonstop for over 24 hours and Kalyan was behind the wheels for nonstop 24 hours as well. Where Kalyan has prior experience of driving Grande Punto for 2000 kms and Fiat Palio D during 24 hours nonstop runs. Fiat is highly banking on these two drivers who have lots of experience and taking such challenge and it seems that it is time for the Punto Sport to prove its might. More Fiat expedition details are awaited.
