Fiat Punto Sport rival Tata Indica Vista D90 launch this month

It does not mean that Tata Motors has gone passive if it had not launched any car recently after the Tata Safari Storme. The car maker has two big launches coming up – Tata Nano Diesel and Tata Nano CNG. But prior to this the car maker is also going to launch a car to overthrow Fiat Punto Sport from the title of being the most powerful diesel hatchback in India. This car to be called as Tata Indica Vista D90 will be launched later this month and this car has been caught testing recently after it was spotted a couple of weeks ago. This 90 bhp power Vista D90 will be the most powerful variant in the Indica line up of cars. Notably, this is the first car launch after the new Tata Chief Cyrus Mistry has sworn in.

The Tata Vista D90 price in India is expected to be around Rs 5.70 lakh and it launch will be in the last week of this month. The spy shots of this upcoming car by Tata reveals that it is all ready to be launched and was undergoing final tests. It is believed that Tata hopes to revitalize the Vista line up with this car as this will be the most powerful of all the Vista cars. The highest power diesel variant currently is the Vista Quadrajet which outputs over 75 PS power. Now that Tata is all set to launch this car, it is expected that Maruti may also pitch in the Maruti Swift Sport soon to counter the claims of Punto Sport and Vista. It is also said that Tata could name this car as Tata Vista Sport.

The details about the specifications of this new Vista 90 bhp car suggest that it will be powered by the same 1.3 L turbo diesel engine that is under the hood Tata Manza. Thus the Vista D90 will have the power of Manza under the bonnet. Experts believe that the new engine will greatly boost the performance of the car and the Vista D90 mileage will also be high as it will be powering a much lighter car than the Manza.
