Fiat Punto Van to launch in India
Fiat India seems to be currently sustaining on a pacemaker sourced by Tata. Now in order to infuse some energy in the Italian brand in India, the car maker is expected to launch Fiat Punto Van in the country. This will be an addition to the two offerings – Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Punto hatchback. Showing intentions of putting a probable MPV rival in the form of Fiat Punto Van, the Italian car maker will have to put a lot of effort before it could gain confidence of the Indian car buyers. Significantly, when the Fiat Punto is performing poorly against Maruti Swift, Skoda Fabia, Ford Figo and others.

The Fiat Punto based van will be able to offer a lot of storage space and will be a people mover by nature. It is expected that with the addition of third row windows the Punto Van will be able to have 350 lites of space. And if it is a Fiat car it will be powered by the iconic Fiat 1.3 L multijet engine that is already powering six brand cars in India. This will not only give the car fuel economy but performance as well. As per the information through recent media reports, the new Fiat Van will have three diesel engine options 75 bhp, 85 bhp and the more powerful 95 bhp.

With the incoming of Fiat Van it is believed that the brand will be able to put up some decent figures on the overall sales chart. However, experts believe the launch of the Fiat MPV is not going to do wonders as the brand itself is not getting popular despite of the recent step up of efforts by the car maker. As per the fresh strategy adopted by the car maker, it will be setting up independent dealership across the nation.
