Fiat To Re-Enter In The Indian Car Market
After quitting the Indian car market in 2019 due to increasing competition and changing driving conditions, the Italian-American carmaker Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is going to make its entry back to India. According to recent reports, Stellantis, the parent company of Fiat is speculating to come back to India. It is also reported that the company is planning to introduce its luxurious brand of sportscar Alfa Romeo in India to attract Indian buyers. The Alfa Romeo brand has been owned by the company since 2017. Some renowned models of Alfa Romeo sold worldwide are the Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4, Tonale Hybrid, Stelvio Quadrifoglio, Giulia Quadrifoglio, Stelvio, and Giulia followed by their special/limited editions.

At present, Stellantis, the third-largest car-making company in the world owns the cars manufactured under the flagship of FCA and PSA groups. At present the group owns Jeep and Citroen brands in India. It is reported that to re-establish the Fiat brand the carmaker might use the STLA Medium (M) platform, it unveiled last month and is believed to mark its presence in our country also.
With this, the Italian carmaker is also finding possibilities on enter in the compact SUV segment to compete with the models like Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Citroen C3 Aircross, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. The company also plans to introduce the Fiat 500 electric in India. This news from Fiat will surely bring smile on the faces of its followers.
