Force Gurkha caught testing, launch sooner than expected

Force Motors India is all set to launch its Gurkha SUV. Recently, the car maker has tested the Gurkha SUV again and as per the sources information, the car is the final production version that the car maker has tested. Expected to start at a price of Rs 6.5 lakh, the Gurkha SUV will be a close competitor of Mahindra Jeep. Where the earlier will be available in hard top the Mahindra Thar is available in soft top version only and this could be the plus point of Gurkha SUV and this could be the minus point of Thar SUV. Though no launch date has been announced by Force Motors, but it is believed that the launch is somewhere near as the spied version is uncamouflaged version.

In addition to this, it is also believed that the test mule could be final version of the car as Force Motors will be hurrying up the launch as other SUVs in the segment are already fastening their grip. Also, the SUV maker needs a car in the SUV segment that could be positioned under the Force One. Meanwhile, reports are also abuzz that soon after the Gurkha launch; Force Motors will be launching the new model of Force One incorporating changes based on customer feedback.  

In addition to Mahindra Thar, the new Force car will also be competing with Mahindra Quanto SUV. As per the information, the Gurkha SUV will be highly banking on its 2.6 L diesel engine that produces 75 bhp that will be coupled with a 4 wheel drive system and it will have a 5 speed gearbox. Thus the price of the car will be affordable and it will have lot of features that will make it most liked in the segment.
