Force Motors plans to expand by investing Rs 1,000 Crore in next two years

Home grown automobile manufacturer Force Motors; which specializes in the making of three wheelers and commercial vehicles, plans to invest INR 1,000 Crore in the coming two years span, in order fortify its position in the progressive four wheeler segment in India.

Mr. Prasan Firodia, Managing Director at Force Motors said that the company has its plant based in Madhya Pradesh; which has the production capacity of around one lakh vehicles. And it is anticipating a total annual turnover of INR 3,000 Crore this financial year end, he was present at the inaugural ceremony of a newly opened showroom for ‘Force One’, the new and advanced Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) from the Pune based company.

The company, a very famous name in utility segment had launched the powerful SUV Force One this year, and the brand ambassador for the vehicle is the film industry superstar Mr. Amitabh Bachhan.

The SUV is available in 6 and 7-seater options, and is powered by a 2.2L CRDi engine that is able enough to produce a maximum power of 141 bhp at 3800 rpm together with a maximum torque of 321 Nm at 1600 rpm. Force Motors also intends to launch a 4X4 version of Force One by the year 2013.

As a part of its expansion plans, the company will be unveiling its most awaited Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) cum Van; which is based on Mercedes Benz Viano MPV, at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo.

With the launch of this MPV the company will be able to contend with the likes of Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo and Chevrolet Tavera.
