Force One SUV launched at Rs 10.65 lakh
Force Motors, a commercial vehicle maker in the country, on Friday launched its much awaited sports utility vehicle – Force One – in the Indian auto market. The SUV carries a price tag of 10.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car was unveiled by prominent bollywood actor Amitabh Bachahan in a ceremony held in Mumbai. The all new Force One SUV is based on the platform of Chinese Guangdong Foday Explorer III, and is tweaked slightly to make it suitable to the Indian road conditions.

Available in six and seven seater versions, the Force One SUV is powered by a 2.2L common-rail turbo diesel engine, which is borrowed from Daimler. The powerful diesel engine of the car is capable of delivering a peak power of 141 PS @ 3800 rpm along with a peak torque of 321Nm @ 1600 rpm. The engine is coupled with an efficient 5 forward-1 reverse transmission.
Once the current version of the Force One SUV gets established in the Indian auto market, the company plans to launch two more versions of this SUV in the country including a 4×4 version that is expected to hit the Indian roads by 2013.

In a bid to enable the vehicle to compete more promptly with the rivals like Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari, the SUV has been blessed with a range if new age comfort convenience and safety features. The major comfort & convenience and safety features include power steering, central lock, power windows, rear spoiler, projector headlamps with day and night adjustment, AC vents in all rows, keyless entry, reverse sensor, rear defogger, power socket in first two rows, 16 point multiple information display, illumination control, etc. However, the antilock braking system (ABS) will be offered with the four wheel drive version in year 2013.

Initially, the company is targeting North, West and South Indian markets only. The company will start delivering the new Force One SUV from 1st of September, with an aim of selling 4,000 units in the initial year of its launch. The total investment from the company’s side over the development and manufacturing of this vehicle has been reached up to 150 crore.
With Force One SUV receiving considerably well response from the Indian buyers, the company plans to launch a new multi purpose vehicle (MPV) in the country next year.

price range is good but i want to see this vehicle and sit in it to see comforts provided by this vehicle as well as when i can get reasonable comforts i desire in it like ABS and air bags <br />

i like the performence of the suv,but it will be more attractable when the interiors are changed, including dash board and audio systems.wood finish should be completely changed .
