Ford all set to capture SUV segment, Kuga added to the line up
Ford is heading for a big launch – Ford Ecosport SUV. Not everybody knows that there are seven more cars in the offing from the American stable in the next three years. One is Ford Ecosport, another is the new Ford Fiesta and which are the six other. It is still a guess. Whatever and whenever Ford is going to launch, the Ecosport SUV will remain the most amazing car launch that is eagerly awaited by many. Even some have deferred their car buying plans and have all set their eyes on the commencement of the booking for the Ecosport SUV.

As per the industry reports, and other sources information, the six other cars that will be launched by Ford in India by 2015 will include Ford Focus, new Ford Endeavour SUV, Ford Mondeo and a hatchback based on Ford Fiesta. Reports also suggest that Ford is also planning in closed chambers regarding the launch of Ford Kuga SUV in India. And this SUV with an expected price tag of Rs 15 lakh will be placed just above the Ecosport and below the Endeavour to bridge the wide price gap between the two SUVs. Reports also suggest that the Kuga is a medium sized SUV and will share a platform with Ford Focus and Ford C Max. Besides, the SUV will be giving a tough fight to Mahindra XUV 500 and other SUVs in India.

The new generation Ford Kuga that was unveiled at the Geneva Show will be available in both diesel and petrol models. A 2 L TDCi engine in diesel and 1.6 L EcoBoost engine in petrol are expected to power the Ford SUV. The TDCi engine also powers Ford C Max. Ford’s iconic automatic gearbox is expected to be there on the Kuga as well along with a lot of major highlights.
