Ford Explorer launch in China soon
It is literally cars raining in China. The Ford Ecosport and Ford Kuga have just arrived and now it is the turn of Ford Explorer to rock the country. The Explorer will be added to the range of SUVs such as the Ford Edge, Ecosport and Kuga. As the model will be imported as is, the car will not be affordable as is expected due to the high import duties. The Ford Explorer price should be around $90,000 in China. As this is also an SUV, the market is open to it and there is no saturation in it. Still there is enough room for new SUVs in China just as there is ample room for SUVs in India.
Meanwhile, Ford is preparing for the Ecosport launch sometime in June this year and it is believed that this will soon after the currently running Ford Ecosport Urban Discoveries campaign. The Ecosport launch in China has also been seen as one of the major milestones as Ford sees India and China as two important destinations where it can get some huge numbers. The Ecosport will be the second and the entry level Ford SUV in India and it is highly anticipated that this car will be able to fetch record braking sales. The initial response at the showcasing of the car at select malls in New Delhi and Mumbai have been very encouraging and everybody there asked when it is launching and what will be the price of the car.

Well, the car is believed to be priced around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9 lakh and it launch will be sometime in June this year. Though it will have strong competition with Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto but it is believed that Ford will have an upper hand following its 1 L EcoBoost engine technology that will make even the petrol car highly frugal.
