Ford Offers Discount Upto Rs. 1 Lakh on Figo and Aspire
With facelifts of Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan on the cards, Ford India the Indian alliance of U.S. based car maker Ford Motors, has announced the huge discount of upto Rs. 1 lakh on both these models to clear their exhausting stocks in the Indian car market. The facelift versions of both these cars are slated for launch soon in the market.
An interesting feature about the facelift version is that it will not be stagnated only to cosmetic changes but also the mechanical. Although, both the Figo and Aspire would be offered in petrol and diesel variants, but the existing petrol engine configuration of 1.2 litre Sigma producing the power of 87 bhp would be replaced by the new 1.2 litre Dragon engine boosting the power of 95 bhp. The diesel variant will, however, be continued with the same 1.5 litre engine that is capable of generating the power of 99 bhp and the torque of 215 Nm. It is believed that the facelift version compact sedan Aspire would be offered with automatic transmission system also.
As far as cosmetic updates are concerned on the exterior front both the models will outsource looks from recently launched Ford Freestyle Cross hatchback. The top end variants will be embellished with new honeycomb grille, whereas the low end variants will be offered with black garnished grille. The headlamps will carry the same visuals. The front fascia will get slim bumper with fog lamps, which would be similar to Freestyle Cross. Inside the cabin, the facelift Figo and Aspire would be equipped with 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system enriched with SYNC3 software from Ford, six airbags, automatic climate control, hill launch assist system, multifunctional steering wheel with Ford MyKey and perimeter alarm.
