Ford to introduce four new vehicles by 2015
Encouraged from the overwhelming response received by Ford EcoSport, Ford India the Indian division of American car maker is going to introduce 4 new vehicles in Indian car market by the mid of 2015. According to reports company finds huge potential of growth in Indian car market and recent launch of EcoSport has further enhanced its future actions. It is reported that first launch in this series of new four launches may include a new car in place of Ford Figo during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo, however it is also rumored that chances of this are very less. Because it has only been three years that Figo has surviving in Indian car market.
It is speculated that company may launch a compact car to compete with existing hatchback cars in Indian car market including Alto from MSIL, Micra Active from Nissan, Spark from Chevrolet, Eon from Hyundai, Datsun Go etc. Although all this is just a speculation because nothing has been so far revealed by company sources. However it is reported that company will launch Endeavour either by the end of 2014 or in the beginning of 2015. It is reported that the new Endeavour will carry its architecture from EcoSport and will be equipped with 2.2 litre common rail diesel engine developing the power of 150 bhp.
Apart from this it is reported that company may launch a hatchback car to compete with Polo, i20 and Swift etc. With this it is also speculated that company may launch compact sedan to compete with Honda Amaze and Maruti Swift Dzire.
