Ford to launch seven new global vehicles in India following ‘One Ford’ philosophy
Steeping ahead, the American car manufacturer Ford is all organized to launch the seven global car models in the Indian automotive market by 2015. The company official has revealed the plan to expand its Indian operations with the launch of seven new global car models following the company’s “One Ford” philosophy.
Under the “One Ford” global philosophy, all car models will be went through some alterations to make them ideal vehicles for the typical Indian auto market. The brand new Ford Fiesta will be the first global model launched by the company, followed by the new Ford EcoSport SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle).

These new models will be the modified versions of their previous generation with few significant makeovers and technical changes. Despite the much delays and belonging of the previous generation, the Ford Fiesta and Ford Figo have allured the Indian buyers with their unique styling, technical sophistications and performance. By considering the shift in the buyer’s preferences, Ford has decided to launch the latest global car models and altering them according to the local market conditions and buyers preferences by following their “One Ford” global philosophy.

This changed dynamics of the Indian automotive industry makes the auto brands to launch their latest products first in India rather than in any other international market like the Ford EcoSport SUV has made its global debut in 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The upcoming Ford global vehicles will be power-packed with the hi-tech features including the cruise control functions, the voice control technology and pull drift compensation electric steering in new Fiesta Sedan.

In order to make big business moves, Ford India has announced to launch one outlet in every ten days for the next two years. In this progressive chain, company has launched the 45 new sales and services outlets in 35 regions across the country and investing $72 million on a diesel plant as well.
The President and Managing Director of Ford India, Michael Boneham has said that the company is committed with its Indian buyers and launch the one outlet every 10 days during this year. Ford is aiming to increase the automaker’s diesel engine capacity upto 3.40 lakhs units annually with its investment in new diesel engine plant.
