Four competent cars set to zoom in India

The coming times in the Indian automotive market are about to see much of enthusiasm, as there are some potential car models lined up for launch. The introduction of these vehicles will definitely unnerve their respective segments. From premium sedan to compact SUV, and from premium crossover to compact MPV, every section will be severely jolted. The four vehicles will be New Chevrolet Cruze, Renault Duster, Mahindra Mini Xylo and New BMW X1.

This extravaganza will mark its commencement with the launch of New Chevrolet Cruze sedan this month on 27th June 2012 that will challenge Renault Fluence and Skoda Laura. The New Chevrolet Cruze sedan will not boast much of changes in the exteriors or interiors. However, the modification will only be seen under the bonnet as it will now hold diesel motor with a bit of increased displacement figures of 1998cc, in contrast to existing 1991cc. The refined engine will now outpour more power, more torque and more mileage.

The very next month i.e. July 2012 will see French carmaker’s volume product Renault Duster stepping in, followed by Mahindra Mini Xylo by August this year. Moreover these two compact models in their respective segments, if priced right, will take mettle from Mahindra Scorpio and Maruti Ertiga.

After gathering world-wide accolades, Renault Duster comes to India. The compact SUV would like to do an Ertiga here, and pave way for more such compact dimensions, especially the promising Ford EcoSport. The better mileage SUV will be available in solo 1.6L petrol trim alongside 1.5L diesel unit packed in two different power outputs of 85PS and 110PS.

The large hatchback-cum-compact MPV, Mahindra Mini Xylo is awaited for its frugal diesel engine from expert diesel vehicle maker, Mahindra. The sooner the launch, the more benefit company can derive out from the chock-a-block bookings of Maruti Ertiga.

Last but not the least will be very crucial introduction of BMW X1 in India, in a face-lifted avatar to compete with recently launched Audi Q3. The amends expected at exteriors and interiors are minor, while the hood will now carry the 4x4 mechanism to make it stand in front of Audi Q3 Quattro. The engine will also see some mini tweaks in order to present it in a more efficient and economical manner.
