Four products in pipeline of Fiat for this year
Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Ltd, the Indian alliance of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plans to launch four new models in Indian car market by the end of this year. This was revealed by Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles India. In his words, company has some enthusiastic plans for this year. After recent launch of new Fiat Linea in Indian car market company is going to offer New Punto, Avventura (a CUV), followed by Abarth 500. Moving ahead Mr. Basavanhalli said that this year company is optimistic about its upcoming products. In reply to a question he said that the second half of this year would be good for company. According to him the period from January to March was sluggish period for industry, during which auto industry witnessed the decline of 4.5 percent which was mainly due to sentiments of buyers who were waiting for new products and policy changes for car industry.

Mr. Basavanhalli also added that during 2013 2.47 million passenger vehicles were sold throughout the country and share of company in this total sale was even less than 1%. Between the period from April and December 2013 the sales of company was 43 percent whereas last year from April to March the sales of company grew above 80 percent. Talking about Abarth 500 he said that it will be imported from abroad and its price will be decided at the time of its launch.
With an objective to improve the sales and develop interest of buyers towards Fiat products company has also initiated an interesting campaign K2K Passion Drive wherein customers would be offered some exciting offers. Apart from this company has also established the fleet of 108 dealers throughout the country within the span of 11 months and intends to cross the mark of 150 dealers by the end of this year.
