Generation Next Datsun Go And Go+ Caught Under Test Drive

It was almost four years back when Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese carmaker Nissan Motors made its debut in the Indian car market with an entry-level hatchback Go followed by an MPV Go+. Although, the vehicles launched by the car maker succeeded in receiving a positive response from the Indian buyers, but did not succeed in ruling their hearts and therefore still it is not recognized by most of the car enthusiasts. The company is now working on introducing the upgraded version of both these vehicles and recently the same were caught going under test drive.

The upgraded Go and Go+ have been already revealed by the carmaker in Indonesia during the month of May this year and therefore it is believed that the Indian version will also receive the same features as offered in the Indonesian car market. Under the hood, it is believed to continue with the same existing engine configuration of 1.2 litre three-cylinder petrol engine mated with five-speed manual gear transmission system. The only expected mechanical changes might be the introduction of AMT transmission system.

As far as cosmetic updates are concerned they are still a suspense as the units spied were completely covered, but still, the spies succeed in having its glimpse which included new headlamps, new front grille, LED DRLS, ORVMS with mounted turn indicators, alloy wheels and rear wiper. As far as changes inside the cabin are concerned it will receive new upholstery and upgraded dashboard. It is also believed that as the earlier versions failed to score any ratings in global NCAP test, the upgraded version might receive ABS and rear parking sensors and dual airbags as a standard feature.
