Generation Next Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV Caught Under Test Drive

Slated for global debut during the Tokyo Motor Show 2017 to be held in October, the generation Maruti Suzuki SUV Jimny is spotted undergoing the test drive along with the outgoing model being driven next to it. Although the trim of Jimny spotted was completely camouflaged but still going through the captured images it is speculated that the SUV is about to complete its production phase. One more thing which can be revealed from the images is that, in its new avatar the Jimny will carry vast cosmetic changes as compared to its existing version.

In its new avatar although the new Jimny carries completely new outlook but still you can witness lots of similarities continued from its outgoing model. Some of the outsourced features include five plated front grille along with Suzuki logo placed at the centre. The headlamp design receives completely new treatment in form of round shaped unit along with separate unit for the indicators. Moving ahead you will also notice muscular bumper with integrated round fog lamps and clamshell stylish bonnet. Like the outgoing model the generation next Jimny will also be the two door SUV, with side skirts, flared wheel and twin five spoke black alloy wheels and boxier ORVMs.
At the rear portion the tailgate receives mounted spare wheel with variety of colored lights mounted at the rear bumper. As far as interior features are concerned nothing is visible from the spied pictures but still it is believed that new Jimny will be developed with completely new interior feature. The newly developed dashboard will carry the perfect combination of modern and conventional looks in form of enlarge control dials and knobs, large two pot instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system and many more.

Under the hood it will be offered with 1.0 litre boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine followed by 1.2 litre option. It is also reported that there would be also an option of 0.66 petrol engine, which would be offered in some of the international markets.
