Groupe PSA To Commence Bookings Citroen C5 Aircross SUV From March 1, 2021
Citroen C5 Aircross will be the first product by the French carmaker Groupe PSA in the Indian car market and the company will commence its bookings from March 1, 2021. It seems that with this announcement the carmaker has indicated a hint of its launch sometimes in March itself.
The company will assemble the parts of C5 Aircross at its production unit in Tamil Nadu. Under the hood, it will be empowered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates the power of 17PS and the torque of 400 Nm. The transmission duties are performed by an eight-speed automatic transmission system. It will be offered in two variants namely Fine and Shine. There will be the option of four colours including Pearl White, Tijuca Blue, Cumulus Grey, and Perla Nera Black.
On the exterior front, it will be embellished with the features likes DRLs, dual-beam headlamps, and a tailgate with split LED tail lamps. Along with this, the company has also studded red accents across the car to enhance its looks. On the interior front, it receives an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, dual-zone climate control, and many more. The notable feature offered inside the cabin is the heating and massage function for the front seat passengers.
As far as safety features are concerned it is reported to be equipped with a plethora of world-class features offered in the segment. It comes with a safety kit consisting of several airbags, front and rear parking sensors, ABS+EBD, and a few more. It is expected to be priced at Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom price) for the base variant.
