Groupe PSA Working On An Electric Mini-SUV Codenamed Citroen eCC21

French carmaker Groupe PSA is going to launch its first offering Citroen C5 Aircross SUV in India on February 1, 2021. After which the second offering is believed to be subcompact SUV (codenamed Citroen CC21) which might be launched by this year-end. Along with this, the French carmaker is also reported to be working on bringing a mini electric SUV to be named as eCC21 in India to go against the Tata HBX EV also slated for launch by the end of this year. The proposed electric mini SUV has been captured undergoing the test drives on several occasions.

According to the images shared by the spies the mini electric SUV by the Groupe PSA has a square-shaped body with high ground clearance. The front fascia receives spilt headlamps, black bumper closed grille with signature logo and LED DRLs with turn indicators. The exterior portion also receives black roof rails and ORVMs. Moving ahead, the spy pictures also reveal that it will receive black steel wheels, squared taillamps, and license plate mounted on the rear bumper.
 
As far as mechanical specifications are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the company. However, it is believed to be empowered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine followed by the flexifuel option. If this rumour is believed to be true then the eCC21 will be the first vehicle in the country with a bi-fuel option.
 
There is no information regarding the features offered inside the cabin. It is speculated to come equipped with interior features like automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, keyless entry, cruise control, and connected car technology.
