Highly Awaited Electric Cars In India To Debut In 2021
The market of electric vehicle segment is making its place in the Indian car market. With increasing consciousness among the buyers towards pollution, improving infrastructure for electric vehicles, are now playing an incredible role in increasing the sale of electric vehicles to a huge extent. All these factors have inspired the car manufacturers to electrify their vehicles.
Moreover, the success enjoyed by the Tata Nexon EV has encouraged the major key players in the Indian car market to gear-up to fire the competition the electric vehicle segment by launching the new electric vehicles from their yard with extraordinary features. The two-wheeler giant Bajaj Auto is tightening its seatbelt to step in the market of electric vehicles and launch an electric three-wheeler in the Indian car market next year.
Besides this, some of the highly-awaited electric vehicles from the major carmakers ready to make their debut in 2021 are listed below:
Tata Altroz: The last couple of years have been a game-changer for the domestic carmaker Tata Motors, especially the launch of Tigor EV and Nexon EV has strengthened the position of the carmaker in India. Inspired from the success enjoyed by its electric vehicles, the Tata Motors is now going the electric version of its hatchback Altroz sometime during the first quarter of the next year. It is endorsed to deliver an average of 312 km after fully charged. It is expected to be offered at the price range of Rs. 12-Rs.15 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki EV WagonR: The hatchback WagonR from the leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is one of the bestselling hatchbacks in the country. According to recent reports, the Indo-Japanese carmaker is all set to launch EV of WagonR during the month of September 2021.

Mahindra XUV300: The electric version of the compact SUV XUV300 from the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to step in the Indian car market in the early months of 2021. It is reported to deliver an average of 370 km on a single charged and believed to be priced with the starting price of Rs. 18 lakh.

Mahindra eKUV100: Along with XUV300, the home-grown carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra is also reported to launch the electric version of KUV100 in 2021. The vehicle was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2020 held earlier this year and might be priced with the price-tag of Rs. 8.25 lakh. According to the company sources, it will be an affordable electric vehicle in India.

Audi e-Tron: The German carmaker Audi is also ready to launch the e-Tron in the Indian car market in 2021. According to the company sources, the e-Tron will be empowered with 95kWh battery capable of delivering an average of 400 km on a single charge.

Jaguar I-Pace: The British carmaker Jaguar is also going to launch its first electric SUV I-Pace in India during March 2021. The SUV is already on sale in the International car market since March 2018. The SUV is equipped with 90kWh battery and capable of offering an average of 270km on a single charge. According to reports, the carmaker has signed an agreement with its Indian partner Tata Motors for developing a network of fast-charging stations for the buyers.
