Honda cars manage to attain respectable sales in Dec 2012
Honda India had a decent last year in terms of sales. In spite of slow market growth in 2012, the company managed to register sales of about 4242 units in December 2012, which is extremely impressive if we compare it to sales in December 2011. In Dec 2012, the sales figures were 1072units, thus this shows a growth of 296%. The reasons behind the low sales last year were due to the Thailand Floods, which also affected the supplies along with the shutdown of its manufacturing plant. However, from April to Dec 2012, Honda India sold 51478 units, which showcases an awesome growth of 57% in comparison to 2011.

If we see the details of Honda sales in 2012, about 1442 units of Honda City were sold along with 2286 units of Honda Brio, 70 units of Honda Jazz, 365 units of Honda Jazz and 79 units of Honda Accord were sold successfully. Right now, the company is busy working on the diesel engine that will be brought to India this year with Honda Amaze sedan. Amaze is expected to be launched in India in March or April 2013. The diesel variant will be featuring the 1.5 litre diesel engine that has been derived from 1.6 litre diesel mill.

Honda India has certainly worked very hard to make its portfolio filled with products that are loved and appreciated by all and also that it helps more in making its sales figures touch the top spot on the chart. In addition, the company is giving its priority to localization, which is helping the company to keep the prices of its cars utterly competitive and easy on the pocket of its consumers. Furthermore Honda is thinking of swelling up the capacity of its facility in Greater Noida in order to cater the increasing demand for its products as and when the need arises.
