Honda displays Mobilio for customer’s feedback
It seems that Japanese auto giant Honda Motors do not wants leave any chance of promoting its highly speculated MPV Honda Mobilio before its launch and therefore even after receiving encouraging response by customers during Indonesian Motor Show, it has again showcased Mobilio in one of the regional motor shows being organized at Makassar with an objective of assessing customers reaction towards it. According to reports company will start the production of new MPV from the beginning of 2014 at its production plant located at West Java, in Indonesia.
According to reports company will unveil Mobilio also in India during Indian Auto Expo 2014 to be held in New Delhi. It is reported that company will start the delivery of vehicle in Indonesian market from February 2014 and has so far received about 4,500 bookings. Industry experts believe that the main idea behind the display of Mobilio among audiences every time is to understand the expectations of customers more intensively in developing countries like India and Indonesia.
In Indonesia it will be launched in three different models namely S, E and E CVT. The concept of Mobilio is based on its another sibling Brio and will be launched only in petrol variant in Indonesia. The petrol variant will be energized with 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine that is available in Honda City. The engine will be mated by both manual and automatic transmission system. It is rumored that in India company will launch Mobilio in both petrol and diesel variant. The petrol variant will be the same as launched in Indonesia market, as far as diesel variant is concerned it will be equipped with 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine.
The price of Honda Mobilio in Indonesian car market will be between 150 and 180 million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 8.5 lakh to 10 lakh). Whereas in Indian car market it will be available with price tag varying from Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh. It is expected to a major contender for Chevrolet Enjoy, Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki, Evalia from Nissan and other vehicles in same segment.
