Honda Jazz, WR-V, City To Discontinue From Honda Line-Up
According to recent reports from the Indian car market, Honda Cars India Limited, the Indian alliance of Japanese car maker Honda Motors is going to discontinue three of its best-selling cars in India. Reports reveal that the three cars including the Jazz, WR-V, and the fourth generation of City will be no more part of the company’s Indian portfolio. It is also reported that the company will launch three new cars embellished with contemporary features, soon in the Indian car market.

The Japanese carmaker will stop the production of the Jazz hatchback after October 2022 and the fourth generation of City sedan from December 2022. As far as the production of the compact SUV WR-V is concerned, the company will stop it after March 2023. However, the company will work on the production of the fifth generation of City sedan. The discontinuation of three best-selling products by the carmaker will leave a big space in the Indian car market. In the words of the company’s spokesperson “We can’t comment on market speculations”.
Speaking about the launch of three new products the Japanese carmaker will start the production of the WR-V compact sedan codenamed 3US/31XA from August 2023. Because the absence of WR-V from the segment will impact its marketplace below 3%. Before this, in December 2020, the company had discontinued the Civic sedan and CR-V compact sedan from its Indian line-up.
