Honda Mulling to bring a small MPV against Datsun Go+
Recent years have witnessed dynamic shift towards compact vehicles especially towards compact MPV’s and compact crossovers. It is reported that after successful launch of Honda Mobilio MPV in Indian car market last year, Japanese car maker Honda Motors is planning to bring a new MPV in Indian car market to compete against recently launched compact MPV Datsun Go+. The proposed MPV from car maker would be even smaller than Honda Mobilio.
In the words of Mr. Jonfis Fandy, Director, Marketing and After Sales Services at PT Honda Prospect Motor ( HPM) in Indonesia, company is conducting research to find the possibilities of new vehicle which would be a compact MPV and would be launched to compete against the recently launched MPV Datsun Go+ by Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan Motors. Moving ahead Mr. Fandy also added that still nothing could be said exactly about the vehicle until unless it take final shape. However Mr. Fandy gave signals that the upcoming vehicle might be upgraded version of Brio.
According to rumors apart from Honda Motors, Korean car maker Hyundai is also developing a new MPV which would be developed on Hexa Space concept which was showcased three years back during Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The new MPV from Korean car maker is speculated to make its debut in Indian car market in the early months of next year. It is also speculated that after launch of this MPV Korean car maker will bring another MPV which would be an extended version Grand i10 and Xcent.
