Honda offers discount, loyalty bonus on its cars to improve sales

Honda car maker is offering huge discount its popular cars including Honda Brio and Honda City besides the Honda Accord and Civic sedan. The car maker is offering a discount ranging from Rs 10k to Rs 60k. Honda is offering insurance on these cars for just Rs 1 only and the cost of the insurance ranges from Rs 10 k to Rs 60 k on different cars. Notably, Honda is the worst sufferer after Maruti in terms of impacted sales due to the petrol price rise as all the Honda cars in India are offered in petrol only option. Honda Brio and the City sedan are the ones that are selling in good numbers despite the high petrol prices and a rise in demand for diesel cars.

Where Maruti has realized and has switched to the promotion and production of the diesel models and has lately declared voluntary outage of Maruti Alto due to low demand. Meanwhile, the car maker has recently stepped up production of Maruti Swift and Swift Dzire sensing the high demand for the diesel variants. On the other hand, Honda still sticks to the petrol only policy and with difficulty it seems to have planned the launch of the Honda City CNG soon. The launch of the Honda diesel cars is on cards from long but there is still no concrete information regarding the launch date of Honda City diesel or the Honda Jazz diesel.

Meanwhile, Honda has also launched the loyalty program following which the car maker will be offering discounts on the exchange of Honda car. This special discount seems to be a great one for those Honda car owners who wish to have a petrol car and who wish to have large discounts. Experts believe that the real happening will begin once the car maker launches the diesel model of its cars.
