Honda readying to re-introduce Accord in new avatar in Indian car market
Just almost one and half month ago Japanese auto giant had rolled out its sedan Accord from Indian car market, but now it seems that company is again speculating to re-launch this highly acclaimed sedan with rejuvenated look. However company has not yet revealed the final date about the launch of this sedan but this news will undoubtedly overwhelming news of Honda Accord aspirants.
In the recent ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2014, Honda has showcased the Hybrid version of Accord which is expected to be soon introduced in Indian car market. The new Accord Hybrid is powered with 2.0 litre petrol engine developing the power of 141 PS and torque of 165 Nm. It is combined with an electronic motor which churns the power of 196 bhp and torque of 306 Nm.
Speaking on the unveil of Accord Hybrid Mr. Jnaneshwar Sen Senior Vice President Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India, said that Honda was the first company to start the trend of Hybrid car with Honda Civic Hybrid, however due to high import duties it was sold at higher price. He also added that recently company has rolled out its generation 8th Honda Accord from market and now working on bringing the completely new avatar of Accord in Indian car market. Talking about the launch of new Accord Mr. Sen said it is not yet decided by company. From the above statement of Mr. Sen one thing is clear that soon that soon Indian roads will witness three variants of Accord i.e., petrol, diesel and hybrid touching Indian roads.
