Honda speculates to launch Acura brand vehicles in Indian car market
Japanese auto giant Honda Motors is anticipating to introduce its luxurious car brand Acura in Indian car market. According to reports Mr. Hironori Kanayama, President Honda India as soon as the market of luxury cars in India will rise company will launch its fleet of Acura cars in Indian car market.
It would be important to mention that name of Acura is 26 years old in world of luxurious cars and for first time it was launched in USA, apart from this cars with Acura brand name are also being sold in car markets of China, Mexico and Hong Kong. According to reports Acura will be placed in higher segment than company’s existing Accord. It is also reported that its parts will be assembled locally rather then bringing it in Indian car market through CBU route.
According to sources company will launch Acura in both sedan and SUV segment. The sedan segment will codenamed as RLX sedan where SUV will be codenamed as MDX, it is also expected that going through the popularity of crossovers in Indian car market company may launch four door variant of ZDX crossover also in Indian market. As far as the prices of these vehicles are concerned it is expected that they will be priced between Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 50. Lakh.
